My friend Tricia Anders invited me to contribute a couple dolls for a window display at the gallery she works at...the theme is "It's raining dolls," and the dolls are supposed to use a black/white/gold color scheme. I didn't think I was going to be able to contribute because of the wacky work schedule, but thankfully there were some contractual difficulties, and I find mself with a bit of unexpected free time....yay!Now I just have to figure out pricing...there's a couple of different things that play into it. One being the gallery taking 50% of final sale amount, and the other being that I'm not sure how much to up the prices because of the area. It's a relatively upper-scale area, where folks are willing to spend a bit more than they would on Etsy/elsewhere.

Make sure you figure out your costs, materials, labor and profit margin first...then figure out the gallery price. The 50% the gallery takes shouldn't eat into your ability to make a profit on your fine pieces.

I love these! Good luck with the pricing! I tend to look at pricing in terms of days instead of hourly rates. Some days, I work really fast, and others I am a slug. So, I measure how many I could potentially make in a day or how many days it takes to make if it is a larger project.
Never having dealt with a gallery, I would love to hear how it goes and what you determine.

My 2 cents on the pricing... don't sell yourself short! Add the 50% the gallery takes on top of what your comfortable with.
